If you had met me a decade ago you wouldn’t recognize the person I am today. My story begins in chaos— an abandoned child, abused and neglected, a survivor of domestic violence that eventually ended up alcoholic and living out of her car. I was caught in a relentless cycle of pain and self-destruction, disconnected from my own identity and unrecognizable even to myself.
